Anna Camner

Anna Camner creates paintings that hover between the tangible and the intangible, blending precise realism with an enigmatic sense of mystery. Working in oil on acrylic panels, she has developed a highly controlled and time-intensive practice focused on surface and materiality. Employing a wet-on-wet technique, Camner completes each small section of a painting in a single sitting, leaning into the medium's natural fluidity and unpredictability. This spontaneous approach yields soft luminosities and subtle transitions, imbuing her works with a distinctive, breathing quality.
