"In the exhibition Biljett at Cowgirl Gallery, a moving painting and a video poem are presented. Drawing us into a train of thoughts, a view through a cold window referring to the poetic essays and films dairy of Chantal Akerman. Exploring moments and periods of dissociation, Hanna Tordai finds the fragmented more real than the unified. Her practice is rooted in an alternative representation of reality and lived experience, one in which the inherent chaos of the present is allowed to emerge. Through painting, she creates a visual world in which what was once coherent begins to dissolve. To reflect this elusive, multifaceted state, she engages with themes such as labour, language, secrets, and repetition."
