Jeanette Land Schou, Peter Land

Jeanette Land Schou and Peter Land are a couple in private and this unique collaboration exhibition the have int the video presented the artistic process disguised as science. It is a process characterized by trial and error, in which the ‘scientists’ playfully compose images using laboratory equipment, colored liquids, and other materials. The videos are closely linked to the photographs in the exhibition, essentially describing how the images were created. At the same time, both the videos and the photographs draw inspiration from scientific concepts—ranging from modern laboratories to ancient alchemy—as well as figures such as the mad scientist found in horror films, Surrealism, and psychedelia. The videos and photographs are the result of a collaboration between two very different artists—a process that functions as a kind of ‘melting pot,’ where both artists grant each other the freedom to incorporate their own ideas.
